Thank you...

I've always loved reading.  I love being transported to different places.  I adore being a different person for however long it takes me to read a book.  I can't help it - I immerse myself in a book.  Doesn't everyone?

Being a writer is only half the process.  I create the story, and you, the reader, suspend disbelief, and enter into my world.

Picture a cave, if you will.  The cave is the world I've created and put down on paper.  I'm standing outside the cave with a lantern, ready to illuminate the path.  If I've done my job right, you'll leave your identity, your cares, your stress on the outside of the cave, put your hand in mine and let me lead you where I will.   

When the book takes you away, it's the best kind of journey.  Thanks for being half of the partnership.
