The Men and Women of

The Highland Lords Series

Ian/Alex

 Leitis

MacRae

Alex is proud, determined, and the savior of his clan.  Although known by three different names, only one woman guesses the truth.  He gave up everything, home, name, and family for her, and together they founded a dynasty.

Leitis is fiery, stubborn, and very good at self deception.  She manages to fall in love with an Englishman, while telling herself he isn't her enemy.  Fate will make her the matriarch of the MacRae clan, but what does the future hold?

Alisdair Iseabal

Drummond

Alisdair is the first born of the MacRaes of Nova Scotia and initially tries to reject his father's heritage, only to become ensnared with a woman and a country.  He is the first to return home to Scotland, determined to bring Gilmuir back to its former glory.

Determined to make a marriage with a man who didn't want her, Iseabal is the most artistic of the MacRae women.  She finds solace in her childhood from carving stone.  Gilmuir is enhanced by her talent.

McKinsey

James is on a mission of honor for his family and finds the one woman he shouldn't have.

Mary

Gilly

Fleeing the world, Hamish remains a hermit in his castle, only to be bedeviled by his brother and an unwanted healer.  The peace he's found is shattered by passion, intrigue, and a desperate flight to freedom.

Mary, a goldsmith's widow, finds comfort in treating others, only to discover that there is one ailment that cannot be cured - a wounding of the soul.  She's everything, however, that Hamish MacRae needs at the moment.

Douglas Jeanne
du Marchand

Douglas is the youngest brother, and the wildest.  Douglas achieves success when he settles down but can never quite forget Jeanne, the girl who betrayed him.

Jeanne du Marchand is one of the strongest heroines of the MacRae series.  Although she's endured torment because of loving Douglas, she can't turn away from him.
